Fundraising
As the specific goals of the Education Foundation
come into focus, the magnitude of its potential is more clearly recognized.
Leaders in the industry are invited to SHARE THE VISION and work with the
Foundation Board of Trustees to help ensure the appropriateness and timeliness
of specific educational, research and professional development projects,
and to secure the resources needed for these key essentials.
To fulfill its mandate, the Board of Trustees has
established a resource development program-funding TARGET. This
will require on-going industry investments in the Foundation totaling $5.0
million.
Mechanical contractors, concerned corporations associated
with the industry, affiliate associations and individuals can become part
of this new endeavor in a variety of ways. Financial
or ‘in-kind’ commitments may be made as lump sum or pledged payments over
a number of years….whichever best suits individual circumstances.
Regional representatives will
be contacting contractors to discuss Foundation initiatives…improve the
competitive environment, profitability and future viability of mechanical
contracting industry through promoting and facilitating continuous “life-long
learning and research programs. Any
donations will be classified as membership dues that are 100% tax deductible
as business expense (+GST).
All supporters of the Foundations will receive prominent
recognition amongst their peers in the industry and will be accorded national
public acknowledgement at MCAC Annual Conferences, in publications, and
other special Foundation events.
Foundation revenues, devoted entirely to its education
programs, are managed soundly and are carefully invested to supplement
income flow. Periodic and audited
Annual Reports describe the use of Foundation funds in an accountable,
transparent manner.
